OK so I took a class about a year ago on how to be a good parent... It was helpful and I learned a lot. The kids were behaving, being respectful, nice wonderful little boys, then it happened, I stopped using the tools they gave us. Now I cant remember them and am having a HORRIBLE time with the kids... they dont listen, they talk back, they are rude crude and little monsters who take advantage of EVERYTHING! My friend told me about her system that she made up and it has been working wonders with her boys, so today I gave it a shot... oh man oh man are the kids pissed at me..... They way you start off is you take everything away that is a privileged to have ie... computer, TV, Games, etc... To say the least the kids were REALLY bad this morning they thought that their world had ended! This is a point system, if they can impress me, they get a point, if they are unruley mean and crabby, dont listen, talk back, etc they loose a point... We have put each item in a catagory from least important to most important 1-8 on the list and they are not going to get that privilege back until they earn it back with points and they have to have 10 points per item to get it back! Its going to be rough going at first I know this, but for the long haul It will be the best for everyone! Including them....lol. Wish me luck! I am horrible at being consitant and this is what I need to work on the most. The kids are the way they are because os ME!!! I take on this responibility, but now I am going to make it right. Ihave to do this inorder for next year to work. The kids are going to public schools next year and I need them to know HOW to behave and how to have respect for authority! Oooooh the joys of parenthood!
