WWJD???

Its been a struggle this year to keep my oldest son in Pathfinders. He is being bullied. Who would have ever thought that this kind of behavior happens at a church function? Well not me, whats who. I have tried encouraging my son to stay and stick it out but he is beyond of the hope of return, so last night I asked him if he wanted to quit ( i already knew the answer) he said yes so I finally gave in and let him. Bullys come in all shapes and sizes. Is isnt fair nor right what was going on... I cant believe it even ever happened in the first place. May God be with Byron as now he isnt in any Christian activities... they ran him out of the only christian activity that our church has and the only one he was involved in. I am sorely disappointed in the way this ended. My whole life has been about pathfinders, I grew up in it, I took over as director for 2 different clubs. I couldnt wait for my entire family to be in pathfinders and enjoy it as I did when I was a kid. Unfortunately that will NEVER happen. My son has given up on people acting like Jesus... WWJD??? well he certainly wouldnt of treated him like that!!!

  1. I'm not sure if it should just be let go like this. What about getting down to the bottom of it? Maybe the bulliers need to be sat down and talked to - perhaps their parents need to be involved. If it isn't Byron, it'll be someone else. Who can purport to be a christian and go out of their way to hurt others? It needs to be stopped and the right people need to be involved in this. Make sure it's not a misunderstanding. It's just so sad and I don't think as a supposed christian group, it should just be ignored. Time to take care of some issues and not look the other way. It's heart breaking - especially as Jesus will be coming soon. We need to draw in and support others - not chase them away.

  2. Debbie you are right. It saddens me that my son isnt wanted in a christian group. He is trying to find his way and to be pushed away/out is very unlike Jesus. We are trying to deal with this the best way we know how. I am praying a lot about it. We will see, I guess!

  3. Holly, I am assuming you talked abut this with Pathfinder leadership to have the problem addressed?
